Calvert Green Park, Buckingham
Buckinghamshire council’s focus for this play area refurbishment was to rejuvenate the open space and create a sense of place while connecting users to the natural environment by using landscaping elements such as natural boulders and mounding.
The aim was to maximise play value using the ROSPA play value chart, activities such as spinning, climbing, balancing, rocking and swinging. The natural colour pallet and the use of timber also provided a sympathetic subtle view for close by residents. The linking pathway enhances accessibility and inclusion for all, connecting them to equipment which is fun and challenging.
